The March 2018 preliminary statistics show the total number of private sector jobs and total employment decreased somewhat, by 540 and 310 jobs respectively, from the comparable period of one quarter ago. The reduction this quarter was primarily in Construction and Retail Trade following the December holiday season.


The Unemployment rate in Guam for March 2018 was 4.4 percent, a decrease of 1.4 percentage points from the previous report of September 2017. In a comparison to the prior year’s figure of March 2017, the rate increased 0.1 percentage points, from 4.3 percent.
