The March 2020 preliminary statistics show the total number of jobs increased by 1,800 over the latest year and by 100 in the latest quarter. For the latest quarter, the Construction industry showed the greatest increase of 500 jobs. Other tourist related industries began to decline somewhat this quarter from what appears due to a pandemic related decline in tourist arrivals.


The Unemployment Rate in Guam for September 2020 was 17.9 percent, an increase of 0.6 percentage points from the June 2020 figure of 17.3 percent and up 14.3 percentage points from the September 2019 figure one year earlier.
