The June 2018 preliminary statistics show the total number of jobs decreased somewhat, by 490, from the comparable period of one year ago. In the latest year, private sector employment declined by 390 jobs. The construction industry showed the greatest increase of 370 jobs over the year.


The Unemployment rate in Guam for June 2018 was 3.8 percent, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points from the previous report of March 2018. In comparison to the prior year’s figure of June 2017, the rate decreased 0.7 percentage points, from 4.5 percent.
